Taming Thursday

It is so dark and gloomy outside today. . .but I suppose that is fitting considering I have a lot of really mundane things to do today. I am moving files around on my computer. . .one of the EHD's is close to filling up so it is time to offload things I don't use or need and it is also time to expand one of my backups. Then I would like to get a backup method established on my dh's computer. . .problem is his desk is a wreck and I try to just let him be, but I need a little bit of space for that EHD!!! Then there is laundry, trash, and house cleaning to do. This is also the first day of the NCAA tournament. . .OK, I do realize that the play-in games started earlier this week but for some reason, I don't really count those in the tournament. In my opinion, there are too many teams in the tournament anyway. . .I don't see a need for every single conference to be represented. For the first time in decades, I have not filled out a bracket. . .my heart just isn't into it. And, traditionally I have taken the afternoon off to watch basketball. . .I will do that if and only if I get all of my work done this morning. . .our team didn't make the big dance this year and fell horribly flat in the NIT tournament. . .there is some kind of negative team dynamics going on there but the coach has such a tight rein on the team that we will never know what is going on.

Sunny Sunday

Yes, it is indeed a sunny Sunday!!! And, for the first time this year, I am cooking outside!!! Tomorrow, the temperatures are going to be in the 70's here so the windows are going to be opened all day long!!! I am entirely TOO excited about that. It has been super gloomy around for too long. . .dense fog every morning that never seems to burn off so the entire day is grey. This gives me hope that spring will some day spring!!! LOLOL!!!

Treading Thursday

I feel like I have ssssssooooo much to get done today!!! I have laundry, clean the house, work on the office, errands and a basketball game to watch in the middle of the day!!! YIKES!!! Sure hope I can get my errands done and back here before the game starts. I plan on having a sandwich from the local mom and pop store while I watch the game!!! It would be lovely if the laundry was done by that time, but I'm confident that isn't going to happen.

Toe-Tapping Tuesday

Now, why am I tapping my toe today??? Have the radio on and am just REALLY enjoying the music!!! Today is also the day for new releases and I have my eye on a new CD!!! But, of course, where I live, it isn't available. For "special" CD's I like to have the physical CD. . .and this is one of those. Sure I could download it to the devices, but I would like to have the actual CD this time.

It is so gloomy here today. . .the temperature is finally warming up, the snow is melting, and it is raining so there is a LOT of fog outside. Instead of feeling like spring though, it feels like fall!!! I took a look at the temperatures for the next month and I have to say, they are looking pretty good!!! It is supposed to be in the 60's here later in the week and you can bet that at least one of my windows will be opened!!! I want to air out the house in the worse way!!! Fresh air sounds so good!!!

Magical Monday

It is Monday. . .normally this is kind of a mundane day, but today should be fun. Our granddaughter visited this weekend and she is such a delight. She is "five and a quarter" and full of life!!! She played her first joke on Grandpa when she was here. . .too funny!!! I'm sure today will be tons of flashbacks of the time she spent here this weekend. She will be back in a couple of weeks during her spring break. . .that way, her parents can have a little relaxation in the evenings and Grandma and Grandpa can have LOTS of fun. This will kind of make up for not being able to have an Easter here. . .this will be the first time in over 30 years that the Easter Bunny won't be stopping by. All because of people who are oblivious to family traditions unless it is their own!!! UGH!!!

Slip And Slide

We have quite the coating of ice outside. . .all of this on top of the nearly foot of snow we had over the weekend!!! Within the last few minutes the temperature has gotten to freezing and should climb today until the high is in the 40's so I hope that the roads get better as the day goes on. But with all the snow and the warmer temperatures and rain there will be a bit of flooding I am sure. Last year the flooding was so bad the houses across the street were surrounded by water. It is sure funny how the upscale side of town gets the attention and the original subdivision gets nothing!!!

With the snow and ice, I have been either cleaning the house or scrapping. . .don't figure you care much about the clean house, but how about a look at some of those layouts???
