February is here. . .let's hope we don't have the weather swings we had in January!!! And it would be nice if we were maybe done with snow this year??? Granted, we sorely need the moisture and snow is definitely better than ice, so I guess I should just quit complaining right? Anyway, I'm here to kickoff the month with some new layouts. . . Well, this week we are in the depth of winter!!! Schools have canceled because of the bitter cold and we have a few inches of snow. . .the month of January has really been a weather roller-coaster in these parts!!! January 2026 - Week 02

It's hard to believe that it is January weather-wise. I am constantly adjusting the thermostat from heating to turning it off. Last night when I went to bed it was 60-degrees and that was AFTER the storm had gone through. When I got up this morning it was already 47-degrees. Entirely too warm for this time of year. January 2026 - Week 01

Well, that was one roller-coaster week!!! In one day we went from a high of mid-70's to a low of 2!!! They are saying that is the biggest one day temperature swing in history. And, with that swing came a destructive tornado!!! We are safe, but homes less than 2 miles from us were destroyed. Thankfully there were no serious injuries. It is frightening to think that storm passed between our house and the dance studio where our girls spent years. . .it is less than 2 miles up the road!!! I also want to wish everyone a Happy New Year!!! Personally I'm hoping that 2026 is better than 2025. . .2025 was a pretty rough year around my house!!! Anyway, with it being the first of a new month I have lots to share so here goes. . .
