Tomorrow is the feast day here!!! Now if I can just get through today with all the prep work hopefully I will have my act together well enough that I can just enjoy being with family. One of our daughters and her family come tonight and stay for a couple of days and the other daughter will come tomorrow. Then all three grandkids will be here on Friday!!! I have to say I'm so excited about that!!! Saturday we will take the last grandkid back home and I'll have to prep the dishes for Thanksgiving at my mother-in-law's house. Then next week is super busy too but I am hopeful that by Wednesday I can kind of relax before the next round starts!!!

Rough Water. . .
The past few days have been pretty trying. Spent a lot of time worrying about a member of the family, time spent in the hospital and taking care of a little one. Things are starting to look up now and hopefully in a couple of weeks she will be able to have surgery and will feel much better going forward, but there are still rough waters to sail.
Since I have been called away unexpectedly for the past couple of weeks, my scrapping and well as the holiday planning and cleaning have gone by the wayside. I have managed to do a couple of layouts. . .I am definitely feeling the need for some scrapping therapy!!! But here's what I have for you now. . .

Frosty Morning
I think that we might be done with those 90-degree days!!! It is 29 this morning and there is a frosty chill in the air. . .I LOVE it!!! I am in full holiday prep mode. . .this week is planning and cleaning, next week continues the cleaning part and then we are in food prep mode!!! I have to say I love Thanksgiving. . .I love getting together with people without the stress of gift giving. But, having said that, today I'm going Christmas shopping and getting a start on this. Once the gifts are procured then I feel like I can sit back and enjoy the holidays. I have ideas for everyone at this point. . .well, except for my girls.
I have also been working on the Christmas scrapbooks and 2018 calendars. For the calendars I take templates for calendar toppers and create 4x6 templates. I fill those in and then use Shutterfly to create desk calendars for people. . .they tend to like those over the wall calendars. For the photo, I plop in the fill template. I have to say they look incredible and I think they are the most anticipated gift along with the scrapbooks.
With all that work going on, I have STILL managed to do a little bit of scrapping that I can share. . .so here goes Created using Created using Created using Created using Created using Created using And, with that I am outta here to go get a start on my day!!! Until next time. . .

November Starts
Well, the busiest time of the year has started!!! The question at the moment is will I get the 2018 calendars done??? Will I get scrapbooks pulled together for the girls??? Will I get Thanksgiving Dinner done and not make anyone sick??? Will I get through Thanksgiving at the in-laws with grace and dignity??? While it is busy, I do enjoy it too. . .there will be a pancake and sausage breakfast, a couple of Christmas programs, a performance of The Nutcracker with a super sweet little soldier and bon-bon, giggles at the "butt-cheek" rolls and family times.
