Winter Weather

Winter sure got here fast this year!!! We have about 4 inches of snow on the ground which is the earliest I remember this much snow. Just kind of fortifies my theory that this winter is going to be rough!!! When it is this cold outside, there's only one thing to do. . .scrap, so here goes. . .

Fall Is In The Air

Fall is finally here, but is quickly fading. We had to go pick up grandkids yesterday and when we backed out of the driveway the sun was shining and he commented how few leaves had fallen. He thought might be able to wait to mulch them. I was thinking it would be the perfect setting for taking leaf and fall photos with the bright sun and colorful leaves on the trees. Well, it rained and was windy all afternoon and when we got home, the yard was completely covered in heavy, wet leaves!!! He will need to mulch as soon as they dry and my photo opportunity has passed. . .too funny!!!

Life continues to be hectic here with everyone in the family having medical issues so my scrapping time has been sorely limited, but I did want to share with you some of the things that I have managed to get done. I am so far behind on my annual calendars and those Christmas scrapbooks are in peril!!! But here goes with what I have for this week. . . Sweet Sameness

This week has been back to normal - woo-hoo!!! Next week is going to be a challenge, but I needed this week more than I realized. With everything going on here, it was nice to have some "predictability" from day to day. So thankful for that!!! And, I have had a little bit of time to get some scrapping done and I hope to make headway on those Christmas presents today!!! So here goes. . . "Normal" Week

Well, this week was a little more "normal" than the past few weeks have been. I spent time cleaning things that don't normally get cleaned and spent some time with one of the grandkids!!! I got the summer and winter clothes swapped out, so it feels good to have that job done. I cleaned out a couple of cluttered cupboards, straightened my craft area and cleaned my office. All in all I think I accomplished a lot!!! While our granddaughter was here I organized my piano music so that feels good too!!! I even had a little time to do some scrapping, so here goes. . . What A Week

This has been one of "those" weeks. . .nothing that was normal was. Looking back to last week, I just know I had a premonition that something was going to happen because I spent two days making things to stock the freezer. Have no idea why I had that wild hair but I did. Wednesday morning I woke up at 3 am and something told me to get up and get my work for the day done. I managed to get EVERYTHING that I normally do during a day done by 6:15 when my husband's alarm went off. He woke up and I knew something was wrong. . .he decided to sleep a bit more and see if he felt better, but when he woke up an hour later he decided he was going to stay home. The last time he stayed home was 4 or 5 years ago. Based on what he was telling me I knew it was something that needed attention so I had him call the doctor and he was advised to get to the ER. Later that day he had to have emergency surgery, so this week is definitely NOT normal!!! He is home and not doing a thing he was told to do!!! Can't begin to tell you how many conference calls he has had with work!!! He is driving me crazy, but at this point, I consider that a good thing :-)
