Strange Week

This has been a super strange week. An item that I ordered from Amazon is still roaming around the country more than a week after it was supposed to arrive. At this point it is kind of like the Travelosity Gnome on The Amazing Race!!! This is a gift for a little boy who already knows all the states, their capitals, where they are located and the state nickname so he is just finding the trip fascinating. . .I don't think he is even thinking about WHAT the gift is, he just wants location updates daily!!! Too funny!!! Then if you are in the scrapping community I am sure you are still reeling from the Gotta Pixel announcement. . .so very sad. With everything going on, I have managed to get a little scrapping done to share - the bulk of my time has been spent on Christmas projects and those still aren't done!!! So here goes on the sharing part. . . Created using Created using Created using Created using Created using Created using And, with that I am outta here!!! Today I think I'll be finishing up a project that I've been working on for a good 5 years and I have to say this is gonna feel so darn good!!! Until next time. . .

Truly Grey Days

The sun was supposed to be out today, but once again it is grey and gloomy outside. There is actually snow in the forecast for Sunday and that is really late for our first snow of the season!!! I have done a bit of scrapping and most of it is holiday-related so here goes. . . Laid Back Kind Of Week

After the whirlwind of last week, this was a week of much needed down time!!! I did manage to get a lot of Christmas shopping done so that is good. I have that "nagging" feeling that I need to get stuff done as soon as I can for some reason. My hunches usually pan out OR by having things ready I avert any disasters :-)

I did manage to do a little bit of scrapping, but I am focusing on those calendars and these scrapbooks for gifts so here goes. . . Created using Created using Told you it was a laid back kind of week and you can tell I didn't get a whole lot done!!! But I'm gonna call that a wrap and might go wrap some gifts now!!! Crunch Time

Well, it is certainly crunch time!!! While we won't do our feast until Saturday, there is still plenty of work to do!!! I have always gotten a fresh turkey to prepare so I ventured out yesterday to get all the perishables so I can do the bulk of my cooking on Friday. . .frees me up to play with the grandkids on Saturday instead of spending a ton of time in the kitchen. I found a turkey, put it in my cart and decided to take a look at the ingredient list. Good thing I did because the second ingredient behind "turkey" was vinegar!!! My daughter is allergic to vinegar!!! So, put that turkey back and ended up getting a frozen bird!!! Now, I have a limited amount of time to get that bird thawed out. . .so I feel confident there will be a day of cold water bathes for the turkey tomorrow!!! I want to put the bird on early Friday so it can cook. . .then on Saturday I'll just heat it up before we eat. Works for me instead of getting up super early on the day of the meal!!!

I have managed to do a little bit of scrapping so I do want to share what I have done before the chaos ensues!!! So, here goes. . .
