Hurry Up Mode

Well, it is supposed to be super hot here later in the week so I am in hurry up mode to get some chores done around here. Yesterday was the day to caulk the bathtub. . .don't enjoy that job but my husband refuses to do it and tells me I do a much better job than he would ever do. I got it done but it is curing and I can't get the bathroom back together until later in the day today. Also yesterday I repotted a plant that was starting to get pretty puny. . .the roots were so packed when I took it out of the pot so it was time for that. Today is the day to trim the shrubs. . .again, somehow that has become my job. Does that happen to you. . .do a job one time to help out and then it suddenly becomes YOUR job??? I just want to get this stuff done before next week when the temperature is supposed to be close to 100!!! That is NOT the time to caulk a tub or trim shrubs!!!

Friday Finds

Somehow when my husband has a 3-day weekend it messes me up for the rest of the week. I thought yesterday was Friday and then I find out there is one more Friday for me this week - LOL!!! I have a lot to accomplish today and it seems like there is so little time!!! We have a big weekend planned but before I can get that underway I have things to do. . .

June Already???

My goodness this year is just flying by!!! I wake up this morning and it is JUNE!!! Summer starts in earnest today and this weekend we have a fun outing planned for the entire family to a theme park!!! I know the kiddos are really looking forward to that!!!

But, in the meantime I'm going to get a good start on June so sit back and take a look!!!

Last Week Of May

I don't know if your May was like mine, but honestly I need a break!!! We have a family outing this coming weekend then things should slow down considerably!!! I am kind of ready for a slowdown too!!! Sure wish there was a way to scatter all the fun that we had in May out a little bit more :-) But I guess that is the way life goes. . .ebbs and flows :-)

I have been scrapping a little bit but have all sorts of projects in the works so that slowdown can't come too soon :-) So here goes. . .

Troubling Times

Well, this week certainly points out the troubling times we live in. . .I can remember my childhood was a time of innocence and it saddens me that the children of today have so much more to worry about. Things that should be fun and carefree can end in tragedy. . .so sad.

The weather here has been topsy turvy again this week. . .hot one day and cold the next, no wonder my body is fighting back!!! But today is a day to suck it up and get it done!!! So here goes. . .
