July - Week 02

All of the festivities of the 4th of July are behind us now. Thankfully the weather cooperated here, but it was touch and go for a while!!! The local celebration was a success. . .the concession stand that my husband sets up for the church group virtually sold out of everything so that's a good thing. He spends so much time planning, getting food, setting up and putting away stuff that I am always happen when it is over and it has been a success!!! It is hard to grasp that right after the 4th the local WalMart started putting out school supplies - YIKES!!! We have a lot of rain in the forecast for the next several days. . .lets see if it actually happens. All the talk this summer is about the "drought monitor". . .according to that we have a moderate drought going on so the rain will be much appreciated if it happens. In light of the heat and weather, I've managed to do some scrapping so here goes. . .
