Another Short Week

This week totally got away from me mainly because of the weather. On Sunday we had severe storms and our daughter lost one tree and they had a long power outage. Two days later, a tornado went through their small town AND they had 8 inches of rain in just a little over an hour. Thankfully our daughter and granddaughter was at the dance studio when this all happened. But while they were there, their neighbor sent her pictures of 2 MORE trees down at their house and told her the power was out. They waited at the studio, our son-in-law went home after work and thankfully checked the sump pumps. He bailed water until she got home and I finally had the thought that we should take the generator up to them. . .it is nearly a 2-hour drive to get there, but we got there and got the generator set up and that took care of the sump pumps as well as their refrigerator and freezer!!! I'm so thankful that we did that because the power didn't come on for several more hours!!! When we got ready to come home the next day, they were so fortunate!!! First of all, I'm thankful that they weren't home when it happened and I'm thankful that they weren't driving in that. I'm thankful that their house wasn't damaged and I'm thankful that they were able to bail the water from the sump pumps. I'm thankful that we took the generator up there. The next day their insurance agent called them to check on them. He said that most of his customers in that town had some sort of damage and he told them they were so fortunate. Driving around we saw a historic home with a huge tree through it. So many tree limbs down, so many sump pumps pumping water into the street. And to think they were hit twice in a matter of 4 days. . .crazy weather. And now, the temperatures are close to 100-degrees!!!

Needless to say, I've not gotten much accomplished this week. . .and scrapbooking took a hit too, but here is what I have to offer up this week. . . Created using Created using Told you it was short!!! And, with that I am outta here. . .until next week. . .
