Winter Wonder

We are definitely in a pattern in this part of the country. For the last three (count 'em 3) Thursdays, we have had winter weather. First it was a foot of snow, then last week it was ice, snow and wind and this week, it was once again ice, snow and not bitter cold!!! It wouldn't be so bad, but keep in mind the day before all the winter weather it has been in the mid-50's!!! Kind of cruel to have that kind of rollercoaster if you ask me about it!!!

I've managed to do a little scrapping but have been working on other "projects" around the house so here goes. . . Created using Created using And, that is a wrap for me today. . .now I'm going to go down and organize my craft area a little more :-) Until next time. . .

Super Sunday Weekend - Part 2

OK, I had / have BIG plans for the weekend!!! Today we were supposed to go to our daughter's house so we could go to our granddaughter's dance team competition preview first thing in the morning, then we were going to go to our grandson's basketball game and indoor soccer game. Those plans came to a standstill yesterday when we had a winter storm move through. Around here the roads are still treacherous. By our daughter's house, there is a 100-car pile up, all interstates in their county are closed because of crashes so our son-in-law stayed in town at work instead of trying to make it home. Had he left when he planned, he would have been in the middle of that 100-car pile up!!! Our other daughter that we were going to visit has ice. Today, the wind is supposed to pick back up again and blow all the snow around again and with the temperatures not climbing, the ice is going to hang around for a bit. UGH!!! On the up-side though, there is NASCAR races at Daytona this weekend. . .one of my absolute favorite tracks. I love a superspeedway, can't stand short tracks and road races!!! And, lets face it, some of the tracks are just plain old boring!!! With the weather yesterday that started out as heavy rain, then freezing rain, then snow, I had the computer shutdown so I don't have a lot to share this week. . .you'll see, so here goes. . . Created using Told you it was a short week!!! Until next time. . .

Super Sunday Weekend - Part 1

For me anyway, this is the first of two "Super Sunday" weekends. In the past, Super Bowl Sunday has been an anticipated event. I generally have a "Junk Food Day" which is what my girls dubbed it eons ago. . .that means it is a day when I don't want to be tied to the kitchen so I make a variety of "finger foods" so people can help themselves. This year, I'm not so pumped about the Super Bowl. . .I don't really care because of the teams and I'm pretty sure the half time show isn't intended for my demographic. The only thing will appeal for me are the commercials and since I have a low threshold for the game this year, I have not peeked at any of the commercials.

I'm managed to do a little scrapping this week so here goes. . . Created using Created using Created using Created using And, that is a wrap for me this week!!! If you are into the Super Bowl, enjoy!!! Until next time. . .

Wintry Week!!!

Well, this has been a rollercoaster week!!! On Tuesday we had temperatures in the 50's, then by Tuesday night, we had several hours of sleet. . .it was so loud I couldn't sleep!!! By Wednesday it had turned to snow and we got several inches. There was a brief break and round two started. That lasted all day on Thursday. Traveling in this area is NOT a good idea even though the snow stopped over 12 hours ago. Once the snow stopped, the wind started!!! On Facebook, it seems like every other post is about parts of the area interstates closed because of multiple jacknifed trucks! Now, I typically get groceries on Thursday, but I moved my curbside pickup to Tuesday because of the impending weather. I scheduled my pickup for 9 am and it was CRAZY!!! For the second week in a row, no coffee!!! I always go in to buy my meat and produce. The meat case was nearly empty. I always use self-checkout to avoid people but the lines were HUGE!!! Thankfully one of my old students is a checker and was working this morning. For some reason, nobody was using the checkers so she came over and told me to go to her lane so I didn't have to wait!!! I then went to another grocery store to get meat. I walked in and saw the line. . .I walked right back out!!! At this point I am so thankful that I don't have to go out!!! I have plenty of food and supplies and I did finally get some coffee. I know it is supposed to be super cold for the next week or so!!! Looks like winter FINALLY got here!!!

I have been doing a little scrapping so here is what I have to share. . . Created using Created using Created using Created using Created using Created using Created using Created using And that is wrap for me today!!! Until next time. . .
