Goodness, I do love watching the Olympics!!! It is a smorgasbord of fun stuff. . .everything from skateboarding to gymnastics to equestrian, I love it all!!! I told myself this time around I don't have time to invest in all of that, but I'm not sure I've missed any of the things I want to see and some that weren't even on my radar!!! Why am I just NOW discovering kayaking? Good grief, that was exciting!!!

Steam Heat!!!
We are in for a hot few days. The high temperatures I can take, it is the humidity that is unbearable!!! And, with COVID surging again, I think I have plenty to keep me busy and happy at home!!! In my little circle, everyone is fully vaccinated except for 2 grandkids. . .it is them I'm most worried about. I find it troublesome reading about the breakthrough cases. . .I'd love to know the percentages based on the type of vaccine received. It also seems to me that by now there should have been a test to tell definitely the degree of antibodies a person has as well as standardized testing. Those 2 grandkids are my primary protection focus now. Our 11-year old granddaughter has a birthday coming up and I asked her last week what she wanted for her birthday. . .she said "Grandma, all I want is a vaccine, but my birthday is on a Saturday so I may have to wait until Monday to get it". Bless her heart. . .I never thought I'd live through something like this in my lifetime. At times, I feel like I have a bit part in an apocolyptic movie. . .

Wonderful Week Ahead!!!
At this point in time I think I have a wonderful week ahead!!! It should be kind of low-key just the way I like it!!! I have a few errands to do but for the most part I get to just hang around the house with nothing pressing to do which means I can do some odds and end type of things!!! I did get to spend some time with one of the grandkids today after driving through at 3-6" torrent of rain!!! You know it is bad when semitrucks are only going 40-45 mph and NOT passing!!! The fields were so flooded. . .and just as quickly as it started, it stopped!!! That particular area got between 10 and 12 inches of rain just a tad over a week ago so I'm sure they are absolutely sick of water right about now!!!

Time Flies!!!
My goodness, all of a sudden I realize that we are already halfway through the year!!! It seems like this year is flying by!!! After the festivities of the 4th I wish I could say it has been an uneventful week, but that isn't true. There has been a lot going on here, but I can't seem to remember everything so oh, well. . .I have had a chance to do a little scrapping so here goes. . .

Yeah!!! It's July!!!
Here it is July. . .that means we are over halfway done with the year. It is a good feeling that things seem a bit better than they did back in January. That month was definitely rough and I'm hoping that July is smooth sailing!!!
