Knock on wood, this has been a quiet week!!! While I've been sick most of the time with a super nasty cold, it has been kind of nice to have a low-key time for a change. I did manage to accomplish most of what I needed to and I still have a bunch of little odds and ends to deal with today, but I see a restful day ahead once I get groceries done. I really should have done that yesterday, but just didn't feel like doing it. . .had I know the temperature was going to drop this low, I would have definitely sucked it up yesterday and gotten that job done!!!
I have scrapped a little and have a few things to share so here goes. . .

Bad Week
Well, this is a week that was really bad. . .but not one that I wasn't expecting. On Tuesday, my Cujo Cat passed away. That cat came into my life unexpectedly nearly 20 years ago when my girls thought this empty nester needed a new friend!!! I remember the day they brought this teeny tiny kitten home just in time for Christmas. . .she was so tiny and we had 2 other cats already. But even though she was small, she stood right up to those bigger cats. . .it was in that moment that her name changed from "Snowflake" to "Cujo". The looks when I would take her into the vet were priceless. . .they would ask what the pet's name was and I'd say Cujo. . .they expected a big dog and not this tiny cat!!! For the past couple of months I knew that she was slowing down a lot. . .I took her for her annual shots three weeks ago and the vet said she was showing some age. The morning that she passed, she wanted up in my chair and just couldn't jump so I picked her up and put her there. I took my husband to a doctor's appointment and when I came home, that is where I found her. I spent today packing up all of my kitty gear. In the last few years I have gone from 3 cats to now no cats. I'm not sure I am looking to have another. . .losing a pet is so very hard.

Finally February
It is hard to believe that it is February already, but as wacky as January was, I'm not sorry to see it in the history books!!! January had strange weather, there were surgeries, hospitalizations, and it seemed like every day brought some kind of strangeness!!! Hopefully February is a little more laid back. . .and the time changes next month so the days will be longer!!! Honestly, I tired of the darkness at night!!!
