Goodness, April sure seemed to fly by!!! I can hardly believe it is going to be May. . .that means I can plant my herbs and not worry about freezing, but then again, we were under both freeze and frost warnings this week so maybe I need to wait a week. . .might be a good thing to do on Mother's Day while my husband is spending time with his Mom and family. I've done a wee bit of scrapping so here goes. . .

Talladega Baby!!!
This is one of my favorite weekends of the year!!! NASCAR is racing at Talladega, I love those superspeedway tracks, the manmade dirt tracks are a big bust in my opinion, just don't like that kind of racing. I realize that some people do and that's fine, just not my cup of tea :-) The weather is going to be warmer this weekend so for the first time in 2022, I think we may grill out. . .and while I do all the prep and cleanup, somehow when someone else actually "cooks" the food it feels like a mini vacay to me and I savor the full half hour :-) It has been rainy here this week so I've managed to do a little bit of scrapping so here goes. . .

Hoppy Easter
The big weekend for some is at hand. Here, it will be very low-key. The grandkids are getting older and are much happier with their gift cards than an Easter Basket. . .can't tell you how much I used to enjoy putting together Easter Baskets for them!!! It has been kind of chaotic here this week so I haven't managed to accomplish much but here goes. . .

Countdown To Easter
For some, I think the countdown to Easter has begun. This year we aren't getting together, the grandkids have their own activities now that they are going to attend and I completely understand that. It is part of growing up. We go to their activities when we can and it is awesome to see how each one of them enjoys their chosen activity. Here it doesn't seem much like Easter though. There is snow in our forecast and rain most of the week. As unseasonably cold as it has been here, I will bet almost anything that the summer is going to hot and dry!!! I just know at some point I'm going to be wishing for a cool, rainy day!!!
