Feeling Festive

This week my husband had his surgery and it went well so that is a huge relief!!! Now we wait for the second round in January!!! I also got all of the Christmas gifts wrapped except for one that should be done later today. I got the Shutterfly Christmas gifts finished and ordered so I am on standby for that to show up next week. I can't tell you what a weight that lifts from my shoulders!!! Now I feel like I can enjoy the holiday season finally!!! We went to one Christmas program last night and are going to one on Sunday and that should wrap up those activities. Don't get me wrong, I love going to this stuff, but everything is out of town and I mean OUT OF TOWN by 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 hours one way!!! And this time of year you never know what the weather is going to be like!!! Next week we have Christmas at my MIL's house. . .and if I get through that I feel like I am home free!!! I don't even mind getting things ready for Christmas here. . .that will be a week later and that is fine with me. . .

So, this week I have been getting back into scrapping a little more and have a few things to share with you. . .so here goes. . . Created using Created using Created using Created using Created using Created using Created using Created using And, with that I am outta here to go put the finish wrappings (pun definitely intended) on this holiday season!!! Until next time, I hope you have a wonderful holiday full of new memories to scrap in the coming year. . .

Frantic Friday

Well, today is a frantic day and most of the weekend will be that way too!!! Today I am on standby in case my husband needs help with his Pancake And Sausage Breakfast at church tomorrow. We started setting up last night. I spent over 2 hours ironing panels for the Santa House picture area. It was during that time that I realized I had become my Mother. . .Mom always had her homemade spray starch in a spray bottle that she hung from the ironing board and while my spray bottle only had water, I was wishing for some of that spray starch a time or two. Then the iron - I am using my Mom's iron. Keep in mind she passed away 14 years ago last week and she had this iron for some time before that. . .and come to think about it, I'm using Mom's ironing board!!! As far as ironing boards go, this is a Cadillac version!!! Love this ironing board!!! And if last night and today weren't busy enough, tomorrow we have the breakfast, I may have to go pick up our daughter and tomorrow our niece is getting married out of town. On to Sunday. . .we are going to a Holiday Dance Show that our granddaughter is in!!! Monday is a day to recouperate and then Tuesday my husband is having surgery. . .that might just do it for me for the week!!!

Between all the activities, my scrapping time has been limited, but here goes. . . Created using Created using Created using Forgot to publish this. . .sorry!!! I did survive the weekend!!! Until next time. . .

December Dash

Well, this past weekend was literally a whirlwind!!! Friday I had all sorts of errands to run and was able to get nearly everything that I wanted to get done accomplished. Saturday was a trip to see our granddaughter in The Nutcracker. . .while we were eating with them, I checked the weather - it was 60-degrees on Saturday and there were storms in the forecast. I saw there had just been a tornado in my husband's hometown where his Mom lives so I had him check on her. . .then started watching the storm as it went through. There were 22 tornado reports from that system - the town where my sister-in-law and her girls' families live took a direct hit. We had to pull over on the drive home to let the tornado pass in front of us!!! We were pulled over and our big SUV was rocking with the wind!!! It was so scary!!! Then yesterday, I went back to watch the second show of The Nutcracker and it was snowing!!! Such wacky weather!!! Thankfully everyone is OK. . .one house was damaged but still livable and my MIL was home by herself and got to the basement. When we got to our house, we hadn't even had a drop of rain!!! We were 3 miles from a house being blown off its foundation!!! So crazy. Anyway, the weekend is over, it is cold and snowy this morning and life is good!!!

With all the activity, I haven't been scrapping as much as I would have liked to have been doing but I'll share what I have done. . . Created using Created using Created using Created using Created using And, with that I am outta here to knock out some of this holiday stuff!!! Until next time. . .

Winter Weather

Winter sure got here fast this year!!! We have about 4 inches of snow on the ground which is the earliest I remember this much snow. Just kind of fortifies my theory that this winter is going to be rough!!! When it is this cold outside, there's only one thing to do. . .scrap, so here goes. . .
