March Mayham

Well, March is moving along. It seems like over night our trees have leaves!!! The neighbor's daffodils are up and the tiny spring flowers are blooming around my mailbox. My husband has planted grass seed so spring is in full swing here!!! I just can't help but think there could still be one last bout of wintry weather before it is all said and done. I have done a little bit of scrapping this week, but mainly focused on doing some deep cleaning. . .but here goes. . . Created using Created using Created using And, that is a wrap for me today!!! March 20th

Today is a bittersweet day. . .it is the beginning of spring and it would have been my Mom's birthday. On this day I always reflect on the things that she has missed that she would have absolutely LOVED!!! She loved daffodils but we didn't call them daffodils, we called them Easter flowers. There was one hill where I grew up that was just covered in Easter flowers this time of year. She did get a chance to meet the two men who would would have become her grandsons-in-law. . .she liked them both. She would have been over the MOON with great grandchildren!!! I can tell you, I have a lot to live up to in that "Grandma" department. Isn't is interesting how both of my girls have such wonderful memories of her. . .and they miss her so much. My Mom was all about those two girls. . .while the other Grandma has never been that way. And now, when it comes to holidays, my girls talk about how it would be spending time with my Mom, yet the time with the other Grandma isn't a priority. I want to be the Grandma the grandkids remember. . .that is now my goal in life. Anyway, enough reminising. . .on to the pages for the week. . . March Madness!!!

I can't begin to tell you how excited I am for this time of year!!! I love watching certain sports, and this year, it seems like they are all happening this time of year!!! Today for example, there's a spring training baseball game on TV along with our college basketball team's conference tournament game and last, but not least we have pro hockey!!! All I can say is woo-hoo!!! Before the festivities start, I have a couple of pages I'd like to share with you. . . March: In Like A Lamb

Well, as of this writing it looks like March is coming in like a lamb!!! And, if the old wive's tale is correct, we will have storms at the end of the month. It is actually fairly deceptive, it looks like it is a bight, sunshiney spring day, but in reality it is really COLD out there!!! My psyche says spring, but my body says winter!!!
