May Musings

As the month winds down, looking back this has been an eventful month. For the first time since all of "this" happened, I actually got to spend time with the grandkids!!! Got to visit with our granddaughter to celebrate her 13th birthday. Got to watch our grandson play not only soccer, but baseball too!!! And got to just hang out with the other granddaughter. All of that was without a mask since all the adults are now fully vaccinated. The oldest granddaughter has had her first vaccine so we are making progress on that front!!! And, I learned last week that I will actually get to attend a dance recital for the youngest granddaughter. . .words cannot express how happy I am about that!!! Still waiting to see if I can go to the other granddaughter's dance recital at the end of June. I haven't gotten to see a dance recital in 2 years. . .considering our girls danced for 15 years, dance recitals have always been my marker for the beginning of summer. Those recitals are later this year so my perspective will have to change, but I'm good with that!!! Having said all of that, I'm still leery of certain activities. It will be a LONG time before I eat at a restaurant. . .I have to admit I'm kind of enjoying this carryout "thing". And, while I have always been a "careful" shopper, I'm even more careful now. I plan my trips to minimize time inside the store and honestly I can't see that changing. I don't enjoy shopping, it is a necessary evil if you ask me :-)

There has been a lot going on here this week so I've not done as much scrapping as usual, but I wanted to share what I have done. . .

Marvelous May!!!

It is going to be really warm here for the next few days. Over the winter we had a new furnace and airconditioner installed and yesterday we tested the airconditioner. Living in a bi-level can be horrendous when it gets hot. We have a LOT of insulation which helps, but it still gets hot upstairs where our main living area is. Right now it is 81 at my desk even with the fans going so the air is a welcomed relief for sure. The cat is having a hard time adjusting to the windows being closed, but she will learn to adjust.

I've had a hectic week, but have managed to do a couple of layouts so I'll share those with you. . .

Glorious Day

It is such a beautiful day here!!! At least for the last couple of days the weather has calmed down a bit. We have gone from frost to 80-degrees in the span of 24 hours for the month of May. But today, the sun is shining, the windows are open and it is beautiful and peaceful!!! I do have some scrapping to share with you so here goes. . .

May Day!!!

So hard to believe that it is the beginning of May!!! Goodness, we had 3 inches of snow last week!!! Since I have flipped the calendar, that means I can get out and plant my herbs for the year!!! I only do it after the first of May because, well, we have had snow, 80-degree days, frost, and heavy rain all in the span of less that 1 week!!! Maybe I'll wait another week before I get my green thumb in motion - LOL!!!
