The last weekend of May is officially here!!! That means next week the hot weather should show up!!! I have no plans for the week other than to try to stay cool!!! May 2025 - Week 04

May is certainly moving right along!!! Time seems to be moving a lot faster these days. . .I've been doing a bit of scrapping and I feel like I'm slowly getting back up to my normal speed so here goes for this week. . . May 2025 - Week 02 & 03

Well, last week must of have been an "off" week or I was just so sick that I didn't get a darn thing done. . .I don't remember!!! All I know is with so much going on it hit doubly hard getting sick!!! I still feel like I'm in a "funk" but I really do need to get order back into my life. It has been quite the month with my MIL passing, the wicked storms that have been in the area and getting sick. I am vowing today I'm going to have two cups of coffee. . .there have been days this week when I've had no coffee and no food at all. I'm too tired and week to even fix it much less eat!!! Today looks to be a good weather day. . .Thursday we got a frantic phone call from our daughter who was sitting in the parking lot of our granddaughter's dance studio when out of the blue it started hailing. She couldn't see it but she could hear it hitting the vehicle. . .it was so loud and sustained that none of the moms were able to make it into the building. When class was over the kids told their Moms that the hail was at least golfball sized. . .NOAA reported that it started as golfball sized and ended up baseball sized. Then lets move to Friday. . .the tornado that hit St Louis slammed the neighborhood where our St Louis daughter used to live. My sister-in-law lives there and while my husband reached out to her, she was oblivious to any damage at her place. Oh, and did I mention the duststorms in our area??? The local TV station reported that dust was coming in through the airconditioning ducts at the studio!!! Multiple reports of accidents from all those storms. Our daughter who experienced the hailstorm the day before said that she could not see the house across the street. . .but she could hear people out mowing their yards. . .crazy right? And if the weather couldn't be any crazier, there were reports of the Northern Lights being sighted last night. . .that's how quickly the storm passed!!! You gotta love spring in the midwest, that's for sure!!! I do have a couple of layouts to share with you. . .hopefully I'll leave this sickness in the rearview mirror next weekend and will have more to share, but for now, it is what it is. . .so here goes. . . May 2025 - Week 01

Gosh it seems like Christmas was just yesterday!!! Well, in a manner of speaking it was for me LOL!!! I'm still working on the scrapbooks for the girls, gifts that were for LAST year!!! It is hard getting them done on time. Both of our granddaughters are in productions of The Nutcracker and it is typically mid to late January before I can gather all the photos from everyone. Then throw in all sort of other life happenings. . .I spent time last month putting together a slide show for my MIL's funeral last minute along with several other things. So life has gotten in the way. While we are still dealing with the aftermath of that life event, I think I'm finally seeing the light at the end of that very long tunnel. So much going on this first weekend in May. . .and I've got a couple of things to share so let's get to it!!!
