Goodness, it is August already!!! Where did the summer go??? One of the grandkids has gotten their room assignment for the year, the other two have already gotten their school supplies!!! In just 2 short weeks all 3 will be back in school!!! I remember when I was a kid, Memorial Day was the beginning of summer and the day after Labor Day was the start of the school year. But then, we didn't have semester exams either. . .I feel bad for some of the students in my area because there is no air conditioning in many of the elementary schools so the district ends up having shorter class days because of the heat.
But with the end of summer, the beginning of fall can't be too far behind!!! Yesterday I had a strong craving for chili!!! That is something we don't have here during the summer months, so before long, I'm going to sneak that into the weekly menu!!! I do love chili!!!
