Time Flying By!!!

It hit me this morning that time is flying by!!! It has been a super busy and a very different summer for me. I know going into fall things aren't going to change, and will probably only become more busy. I have actually started Christmas shopping and working on the gifts. . .the old adage "don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today" is more of a reality than I ever though. School Starts. . .

School started here this week around here. I don't know about you, but for me that signals the beginning of a new year maybe more than January 1st. Not sure why, but it just does. And while my kids have been out of school for a long time, I can still relate because of the grandkids. Our oldest granddaughter has Freshman Orientation today. . .for me that is bittersweet. She is growing up so fast, but the days of playing Barbie with that one are definitely over. Our other granddaughter will become a teenager in a few weeks which will leave our grandson as the only "kid". Life goes on and that hasn't been lost on me this summer!!! Sweet Summer. . .

What a glorious day today is!!! The temperature is in the low 70's and I have the windows open and for the first time in a LONG time I'm not sitting here sweating!!! This is a great summer day. . .low temperature, low humidity, no sweat. . .sweet!!! It has been a hectic week so I've done a little scrapping, but not all that much so here goes. . . Yikes!!!

It just occurred to me this morning that school starts here in a couple of weeks!!! This means two things. . .the area fairs will be happening very VERY soon and I really do need to get to work on these handmade Christmas gifts!!! I'm not sure where this year has gone. . .well, OK, I do know where it has gone, but that is a story for another time - hee-hee!!! I've done a little scrapping this week so here goes. . .
