March 2025 - Week 04

It was a turbulant time around here and throughout the midwest over the weekend. All told we had 3 confirmed tornados in the area. The worse damage was to a district school - elementary through high school. That complex took a direct hit. The students were to go back today from spring break but obviously that didn't happen. I think the thing that hit me the hardest when they showed photos from inside the building was the band room. . .band was one of my fondest memories from high school and to see the damage inside that band room still sends shivers down my spine. . .And our weather ran the gambit this weekend from severe storms to snow to haze from dust that blue into the area from the southwestern US. Crazy weather. . .and again, tomorrow we are to have highs in the mid-70s followed by more severe weather and snow. . . Through all of this, we did manage to keep power. . .others were not so fortunate. So, I was able to do a bit of scrapping among everything else going on so here goes. . . March 2025 - Week 03

Well, stick around long enough and you are sure to get weather you enjoy in this area!!! It was a frosty morning a couple of days ago and today we are getting ready to cook out for the first time in 2025!!! With the warmer temperatures and the extra hour of daylight I feel like I have been super productive the last 2 days!!! Go Me!!! I've also managed to do a little scrapping so here goes. . . March 2025 - Week 02

Another topsy turvy weather week here!!! One day this week we had so much wind there are several trees that lost good-sized limbs in our neighborhood and some of those revealed some BIG problems in a couple of trees. If the neighbors don't have them taken out, Mother Nature will take care of the job herself. . .one of those trees is pretty much hollow in the middle!!! Today there is snow about 5 miles north of us. . .but stick around a day or so it should be close to 70 the first part of the week. And, can I just say I'm anticipating the time change. When I was younger, I enjoyed the whole "fall back" thing because of the extra hour of sleep, but these days, I'd much rather have that extra hour of daylight in the evening!!! I just feel like I can get so much more done when it is daylight outside. . .but then again, we have had nothing but clouds for what seems like forever!!! I've managed to do a little bit of scrapping but have primarily had a good old time doing some spring cleaning. . .why does that spring cleaning seem so much more fun that the normal day to day cleaning??? March 2025 - Week 01

Around here it looks like March is coming like a lamb!!! It was 70-degrees yesterday and today the high is going to be in the mid-30's so that's a bit of a temperature swing. And with the time change next week I'm going to have to pay more attention to the temperature because those warmer temperatures and longer days means grilling season will be starting!!! So yeah on that!!! It is the first of the month which means new products in the stores and layouts to share so here goes. . . February 2025 - Week 04

Well, here we are at the end of February. This month has been a topsy turvy month in so many ways!!! At least the days are getting longer and while I used to dread the whole "spring forward" thing with the time, I have to admit I'm looking forward to it!!! I feel so much more productive when I can eat dinner in the daylight!!! There continues to be a lot going on around here but I did manage to do a bit of scrapping so here goes. . . February 2025 - Week 03A

Well, somehow I got all messed up with the February "weeks" But it has been a busy couple of months for me. . .enough on that one. We have had bitter cold here this week, but next week we should be in the mid-50's so no snow days or e-learning days for the kiddos next week LOL!!! I've managed to do a couple of pages between everything going on so here goes. . . February 2025 - Week 03

Well, February is moving right along. . .and here winter has finally arrived!!! We spent most of last week watching a winter storm system that never really panned out. Tonight could be a different story though. All winter I've had this nagging feeling that an ice storm is in the not too distant future. If I am reading the signs correctly, tonight might just bring that glazing of ice. We have close to 1-1/2 inches of rain forecasted and once the rain starts, the temperatures are going to drop. Now normally I wouldn't think any thing of this, but it has been pretty cold here the last couple of days and we do have a covering of snow so the cold is already in place. I don't mind snow, but ice is a completely different story!!! I've had some things going on this week, but I have managed to do a bit of scrapping so here goes. . .
