My goodness, what a week!!! I had surgery a week ago. . .went in 2 days later to be checked and within an hour was sick!!! Who knew there were SICK people at the hospital and doctor's office??? Then that night I get a call from our daughter that our granddaughter was running a temperature and even with Tylenol it was going up. They took her to a prompt care facility on Saturday and they were told she had a sinus infection and gave her antibiotics and told her to keep using Tylenol. . .situation got worse so when she went to the doctor this week she tested positive for the flu. Now, keep in mind she had the flu shot!!! Kid has been home all week - yep, missed Valentine's Day festivities at school. Then yesterday she woke up and she literally can't walk!!! She could crawl but not walk. Now our granddaughter sometimes like to pretend she is a cat and so our daughter thought this was just boredom because our granddaughter was laughing. After she went to bed last night our daughter had time to do some research and this really is a "thing" after the flu!!! Who knew??? It is extremely rare but when our daughter looked at a video of a child trying to walk with this condition it is exactly what is happening there. . .this morning our granddaughter is no longer laughing and says it hurts so they will be going to the doctor here in just a bit. Meanwhile, my "cold" is getting no better and I go today to get the stitches out. . .which are swollen and today are hurting. I swear it is always something and when it rains, it pours!!!
But, I have managed to do a little bit of scrapping once the wear and tear of surgery faded a tad so here goes. . .
