March - In Like A Lamb-Lion!!!

Well, I can't believe it is March already!!! And around here, depending on where your live it is coming like a lamb or a lion!!! For us, it is supposed to be nice today, but a change is coming for tomorrow!!! And just south of here it is coming in like a lion!!! The good news. . .next weekend the time changes and it will be daylight longer!!! I can't stand when it is completely dark outside by 5 pm!!! I say just leave the time alone and quite changing it!!!

My week this week has been all messed up. . .last Sunday, we took a train to Chicago to watch our granddaughter play a recital at the Chicago Symphony Hall. She was one of 6 from our state to be invited. . .the thing that made it so special, when she got the invitation, she had only been taking piano lessons a little over a year!!! She loves playing the piano!!! It amazes me how confident she is playing the piano on stage. I think her years of dance has provided her with that confidence!!! She did an amazing job and was so darn pretty!!!

We were supposed to take the train back on Monday. Got to Union Station in Chicago and things looked just fine. . .until we found out the train had been cancelled. We decided to rent a car and drive home. Got the car, got the luggage loaded and got a text saying the cancellation was in error and the train was a go - in 15 minutes!!! We hurried and cancelled the car rental (hopefully that is done). Got to our lounge to wait and got yet another text. . .the train had indeed been cancelled, but alternate arrangements had been made. They had hired a bus. . .but it was driving in from Indiana and would take a while. Then they figured out they had 150 people for 75 seats on the bus so they tried to get a second bus. . .none were available in Indiana so they had to get a bus from Wisconsin!!! We had a bit of a wait waiting on the bus. Now, I grew up in a rural area where my bus ride to school was 2 hours every morning and I can get incredibly car sick!!! We got on the bus and it was brand new. . .each row had 2 charging stations and wi-fi and each seat had shoulder and seat belts!!! The downside - absolutely NO leg room at all!!! And when the little old lady in front of me reclined her seat there was really no need for the belts!!! I was wedged in there so tightly it wasn't even funny. Now, with all the hustle to get around Union Station I didn't have a chance to get a bottle of water. . .and you guessed it, I got car sick - that bottle of water would have been so awesome to have had!!! Anyway, we finally got to to the local train station and did the 1-hour drive home. Once I got home, I had to go get groceries!!! I've been a day behind the entire week. . .hopefully with the weekend I'll get back on track!!!

So, my scrapping has been a little limited, but I have some holdovers from last week so I think there is plenty to share today. . . Created using Created using Created using Created using Created using Created using Well, once again I forgot to publish this. . .
