Weary Weekend

I think I have been fighting a little flare for the past couple of weeks. . .I am hoping this weekend will be full of some down time so I can heal a little bit. I have a super busy day today and if I can just get through today I think I'll be OK. Long Time, No See

Seems like it has been a while since I posted to my blog. Somehow my immune system is in overdrive!!! Just wish I could get it in check, but the doctor has a hard time believing me when I describe these "traveling" symptoms. . .but then again, I don't think he has an understanding of an overactive immune system. But, I am on week 4 and I think if I can get through this phase it should be getting a little bit better. . .

With my primary site being down, I have held on to several pages, and while the gallery isn't functioning the store is finally up and seems stable so I decided to go ahead and post, so here goes. . .

Winter's Here

Winter finally came yesterday. . .originally we were going to get less than an inch of snow, but by the time it was over, we had 4-inches. That has been our biggest snowfall of the season. . .normally we would have had our first snow in November!!! We had plans to go see our granddaughter's musical yesterday but their school was cancelled so the performance will be rescheduled. With the weather yesterday I took the opportunity to stock the freezer with soups, lasagna rolls, spaghetti sauce and meatballs. It is so nice to have something in the freezer to just pull out and heat from time to time. I also spent some time scrapping so here goes. . .

Busy Busy Weekend

It is Monday, but since it is a 3-day weekend for my husband I'm still considering this part of the weekend. Our weekend started out on Saturday with a show choir competition. Our girls were in show choir years ago, but when they were in show choir we were behind the scenes taking care of kids, costumes, props, staging, etc. Now that our kids are grown we can sit an enjoy the shows. Our school district was finally able to build a new, totally awesome auditorium with proceeds from a county sales tax. Gone are the days of sitting in a gym, we had comfy seats for the day. One of our daughters managed to come down so she and I sat through 14 hours of show choir performances. . .think Glee for 14 hours!!! It was so much fun!!!

Then Sunday I got to spend time with one of the grandkids. . .she was in rare form for sure!!! Last night, we had concert tickets to see Jason Aldean. Goodness, that was an incredible concert. . .the opening acts were A Thousand Horses and Thomas Rhett. I do think this was one of the best concerts I have ever been too. . .Elton John with just a piano is still #1 followed very closely by Cher. Last night's concert was the best technical show I have ever seen. . .totally awesome. Not so sure my husband enjoyed it and I'm pretty sure I can't hear today, but goodness, I'd go back in a heartbeat!!! Then today we are going to catch a movie so all in all it has been a weekend packed with things we enjoy :-)

I do have a couple of pages to share. I have been holding a LOT of pages back though because of all the technical issues at Digital Scrapbooking Studio so there will be a bevy of pages at some point here. So, for the moment, here is what I can share. . .

Another Week Winds Down

It just seems like January is flying by at a really fast pace!!! Usually there is that "down" time after the holidays but I don't think that has hit here yet. It is crazy!!! This weekend we had some nasty weather. . .we went to a movie on Saturday afternoon and it was raining heavily, when we got out of the movie it was sleeting and icy and before we got home it was snowing pretty hard!!! Today it is bitterly cold outside. So, with all the cold I've been scrapping away so here goes. . .

Slow Weekend

Well, this doesn't happen that often, but it isn't even 6 pm and I have everything on my to do list done!!! Woo-Hoo!!! I'm so happy about that!!! And, not only did I get a bunch of stuff done, I managed to do some scrapping too so here goes :-) This is shaping up to be a slow weekend. . .and a much needed respite from the holiday happenings of late :-)
