The forecast for today is much cooler than it has been!!! It has been brutal. . .and we have had so little rain. The cracks in my yard are getting bigger each day. This cooler weather came without a drop of rain too and that is troublesome!!! The crops are starting to feel the effects of the hot, dry weather too. Sultry Sunday
It is a hot one already and it is still mid-morning here!!! I think it is supposed to rain this afternoon so maybe that will cool things down a tad. Still too hot to do much so scrapping is my activity of choice at the moment so here goes. . .

Hot, Hot, Hot
The heatwave continues. . .and it sure is dry too!!! I was walking in the yard yesterday and there are cracks out there!!! Some places have had a lot of rain and others like us, not so much!!! I have had a busy week and next weeks is shaping up to be even busier!!! Sometimes I think we have too many irons in the first so to speak. . .between a home improvement project that I'm working on to refurbishing the rectory in preparation for a new priest to a big community festival ahead of the 4th, there doesn't seem to be much time to breathe!!! Then yesterday, my dh had his 40th anniversary at work. I can remember when he started. . .the weekend before that I went shopping with him to get basics for his apartment. At that point we weren't even engaged yet, but somehow I talked him into getting a set of white Corelle dishes. Then months later when I got my job, I did the same. We ended up getting married and combined those plates. . .it occurred to me this weekend that we are STILL using those plates!!! I have added to them over the years as our family grew and I think over that span of 40 years we have broken 2 plates!!! Way to go!!!
I am amazed that I have been able to get any scrapping done as busy as we are, but here goes. . .

What A Weary Week
The heat here has been wicked this week. There will be a brief respite tomorrow. . .if you consider 89 a respite. . .it is going to heat up again on Sunday!!! Thank goodness for air conditioning. I grew up south of here very close to a major river. It was so hot and so humid, at least here there is no extreme humidity although we have had rogue storms this week that has caused the humidity level to raise. And, growing up I did field work on the farm and we didn't have air conditioning. I can remember times that because we had well water and the cows needed water us humans had little water. Mom would take our clothes into town 45 minutes away to do laundry at my aunts house because they had unlimited water. All in all I have a really cushy life I think :-)
Today I do have to venture out and get groceries and run a couple of errands. . .for the most part when it is this hot I stay indoors. My body doesn't handle heat all that well and my joints this morning seem to be screaming so I am really dreading this trip outdoors. But, with all this heat it is the perfect time to do some scrapping so here goes. . .

Sweltering Heat!!!
The heat is ridiculous here. . .and I see no relief in the near future. I think this might be the hottest June I recall!!! So, when it is so hot, what better to do than spend time scrapping away!!! So here goes. . .
