Moderate Monday

Today seems so disjointed for some reason. . .I have gotten a lot accomplished already, but still have a lot that I want to do too. We will see how far I get on that list. At the moment it seems like I am over 50% done!!!

Since it is the last week of the month, I will have a LOT to share with you over the coming weekend, but until then, I think I'll update the blog as I go. . .so for today I have this. I was so happy at how versatile this kit was. . .it has a decidedly Halloween-theme to it, but I was able to create a very nice non-Halloween page!!! Love finds like that!!!

WOW Wednesday

I have to say I am so excited about today. First of all, I slept until 6 AM!!! You have NO idea what an accomplishment that is for me. . .there are days I am up and sitting here at the computer at 3:30 because I can't sleep!!! Then, I got up, put a beef roast in the crockpot, made my cole slaw (it is so much better when it gets to sit in that homemade dressing for several hours), and even peeled and cut the potatoes. Those potatoes are sitting in a pot of cold water to draw out the starch. So really all I have to do to have a yummy dinner is turn on the potatoes and put a slurry of cornstarch and water in the roast this afternoon. So, this feels like a vacation day!!! Woo-Hoo!!!

My next major endeavor for the day is to sew. . .did a little each day, but today I "feel" it!!!

But, before I can get started on that project, I have a couple of things I'd like to share with you. . .

Wishful Weekend

I have BIG plans for the weekend. . .want to work on a craft project that has been downstairs for a number of years now. . .THAT is one of my goals. I'm trying to do a pillow sham and have everything cut out except those darn angle pieces. Now, you have to keep in mind this is a pattern that I created. . .and I was horrible at geometry in high school, but in my defense I never saw the teacher stand up in the 4 years of math class that I took so basically we were completely self-taught!!! I struggled so much with math in high school, then when I got to college, I took the required math class and liked it so much I took 2 more years of math. . .and can I just say I got A's in every single math class all the way through the highest math class that I could take!!! So, I don't think my struggles in high school were ME, I think it goes back to the teacher!!! Just sayin'. . .

Monday Melody

The temperature is cool enough today that I can work at the computer with the window opened. The birds are chirping, there is the sound of grasshoppers, and then there is that yappy dog!!! The birds are OK, the grasshoppers don't bother me with their constant drone, but that dog. . .that dog is the epitome of a yappy dog!!! That bark is so high-pitched and once he starts, he just does NOT stop. . .constant yap, yap, yap, yap. Now, you have to understand that each "yap" is preceded with a jump. . .that dog HAS to jump before he barks. . .drives me nuts, but I like the fresh air so I'll bear with it for a few minutes more. . .thank goodness my kitty is much quieter!!!

I had an appointment this morning and now I'm done with appointments for another week. . .then there is another appointment. It is "that" time of year - UGH!!! But my reward for getting the first one done is to scrap and nap!!! So here goes with the scrap. . .

Wonderful Weekend

This is the weekend we get to celebrate our granddaughter's birthday. . .we are going to go to the apple orchard, visit an indoor fun house, and watch her open her gifts. Should be a fun day and to make it even more fallish, the temperatures are supposed to be much cooler!!!
