We made it through Winter Storm Jacob last week, and now we are on trend for another round of snow which could span the rest of the week. I sure am glad that I have my errands for the week done. . .which means I have time for all those other "extras" that I never seem to get around to doing!!! Today I am going to tackle the coat closet!!! Earlier this week I did the linen closet and I felt ssssssooooo good when that was done!!! Once I get that closet done, I am going to fix an issue with Word, work on mirroring my EHDs and do a puzzle, work on my planner. . .I have rather lofty plans and am counting on being snowed in for a couple of days!!! I do NOT want to get out in the snow with this aircast!!!
I have managed to do a little scrapping so here goes. . .

And, with that I am outta here. . .I have a lot of little things to do which makes for a busy day indoors!!! Until next time. . .

Winter Storm Jacob
First of all can I just say that it slays me that we now name winter storms. . .for us here in the Midwest, this is pretty much standard weather for this time of year, but somehow when you start attaching a name to it suddenly it seems more "severe". We are under the gun for ice this afternoon, followed by snow, followed by rain and floods!!! So, it is quite true, if you don't like the weather here in the midwest, just stick around for a while and it will change in a heartbeat!!! I had plans for tonight, but somehow the notion of getting out and about with this broken foot and the accompanying boot seems like a bad idea at the moment!!! I had hopes of going to a junior high show choir competition, but that may come off of the table.
This week I had a follow-up appointment with my "foot guy" about my broken foot and I just KNEW he was going to tell me that all was well and I could ditch this boot and start driving again. . .that did NOT happen!!! Instead I have to wear the boot for 2 more weeks and then I can transition to a tennis shoe for an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon. I go back in February to check on the progress. So, I am dependent on someone else for at least 3 more weeks. . .I have never been this dependent on someone else!!! I've been busy this week doing little odds and ends so I don't have a lot to share with you today but here goes. . . Created using Created using Told you it was a short list for the week!!! And with that I am outta here to sign-off before that ice gets here!!! Until next time. . .

Another Topsy-Turvy Week!!!
Well, this week is just gonna be wacky!!! Today it is nearly 60-degrees outside. . .entirely TOO warm for January. By Friday we are supposed to have record high temperatures with a deluge of rain. . .then if you don't like rain, just stick around and it is gonna turn cold with SNOW!!! Nothing like the weather in these parts to keep one on their toes!!!
I feel like slowly but surely I am starting to get back to my normal routine. . .no Christmas preparations, no extra cleaning. . .but I still have my lovely boot from the broken foot so that is slowing me down just a tad. And since I can't drive I feel like I've lost my independence. I have been able to scrap just a bit so here goes. . . New Year, New Decade!!!
It didn't dawn on me until our granddaughter mentioned she was starting her second decade that a new decade was beginning!!! I remember back to the new millenium - I was working in IT and had to spend 2 nights at work to monitor the first two Y2K runs of the billing system. It was a non-event for us but that was because of the dedicated effort for years prior to that!!! Oddly enough I still have my little plastic "Countdown To The Next Millennium" clock that we got for our efforts - the company didn't last, but this little plastic clock is STILL working!!!
With the new year, I have a layout or two to share with you. . .
