First of all can I just say that it slays me that we now name winter storms. . .for us here in the Midwest, this is pretty much standard weather for this time of year, but somehow when you start attaching a name to it suddenly it seems more "severe". We are under the gun for ice this afternoon, followed by snow, followed by rain and floods!!! So, it is quite true, if you don't like the weather here in the midwest, just stick around for a while and it will change in a heartbeat!!! I had plans for tonight, but somehow the notion of getting out and about with this broken foot and the accompanying boot seems like a bad idea at the moment!!! I had hopes of going to a junior high show choir competition, but that may come off of the table.
This week I had a follow-up appointment with my "foot guy" about my broken foot and I just KNEW he was going to tell me that all was well and I could ditch this boot and start driving again. . .that did NOT happen!!! Instead I have to wear the boot for 2 more weeks and then I can transition to a tennis shoe for an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon. I go back in February to check on the progress. So, I am dependent on someone else for at least 3 more weeks. . .I have never been this dependent on someone else!!! I've been busy this week doing little odds and ends so I don't have a lot to share with you today but here goes. . .
