Where Did I Put That Ark???

I has been incredibly dry here this year. . .we had very little snow in the winter to a freak snow in late April. But this weekend, all of that is gonna change. . .we are supposed to have 5-6 inches of rain!!! The forecast for the next 10 days shows storms every single day with rainfall totals ranging from a half inch to a full inch of rain each day!!! Add to that hot weather and we are going to be cooked by the time this is over!!! With no Fourth of July celebrations last year to the possibility of rain this year, it sure is a bummer!!!

This week I've been busy and actually took a day off so I have a couple of things to share, but not a lot so here goes. . . Created using Created using And with that I am outta here. . .until next week. . .

What Day Is It????

I have to admit, I feel "calendar challenged" this month. My brain knows that the 4th of July is approaching, but for some reason I think it is next weekend and my brain thinks that this is the last week in June, but it clearly is NOT!!! I have no idea why this happens to me occasionally, but when I look at the June calendar this month seems to be taking up a lot of real estate on that paper!!! I just feel like I'm about to mess something up. . .but oh well. . .

It has been hot here this week and today is truly going to be a scorcher with a forecast of very strong storms this afternoon. . .I've been doing a lot of scrapping, but seem to only have one item to share with you so here goes. . . So Excited!!!

I have to admit I am super excited about the weekend!!! For the first time in 2 years I get to go to a dance recital!!! My daughters started taking dance when they were 5 years old. When it was all said and done, I had attended 15 years worth of studio recitals, 3 years of college dance repratory performances, an untold number of football and basketball games where the pom squad performed and the same for watching them head camps when they worked for a major dance competition company. There were a few years where we didn't have performances, but then our granddaughters became interested in dance. and wella, more performances!!! All was good until COVID hit and the last performance I saw was in 2019. I'm so excited to see how they have progressed!!!

Jumpin' June

My goodness, it has just occurred to me that I have NO idea where the year has gone!!! Seems I've become somewhat complacent with life with restrictions!!! Not sure if it is because one day just bleeds into another or what, but this month our restrictions will virtually disappear. While most of my family is fully vaccinated except for the two youngest grandchildren, I'm not ready to lose the mask in public just yet and it will still be a long time before I eat at a restaurant again. But, this month I will venture to an auditorium to watch our granddaughter's dance recital. This will be the first event that the venue will have without restrictions, but they have implemented protocols along with the dance studio's policies that I feel somewhat safe. Instead of one show, they are doing 3 much shorter shows, clearing and sanitizing the auditorium between shows. Also, instead of assigned seats, the tickets are general admission with the venue staff seating patrons to socially distance the small groups. We usually go out to eat afterwards, but we are going to skip that this year. . .Anyway, it will be Christmas before we know it so my goal this month is to get the base for the 2022 calendars done!!! Then I'm going to start gathering pages for the scrapbooks!!! Each year I vow that I won't be frantically scrapping in November!!!
